Cristina and Didier

Saturday Ilona and I were in the Lake District photographing the wedding of Cristina and Didier. It was a beautiful wedding and the scenery was just stunning.
We stayed a few days to explore the area but that was definitely not long enough. We plan on going back and spending much more time there in the near future. If you haven't been please go. We wish Cristina and Didier all the best and have a great time in Sardinia.

Sunday I was photographing the wedding of Lisa and Howard at Moxhull Hall hotel in Warwickshire. It was a beautiful day and everybody had a great time. I hope you wear your Converse everyday on the honeymoon Howard :-) Have a good one and Emma and I wish you all the best.

This weekend I'm in the Lake District to photograph the wedding of Cristina and Didier. Can't wait as I'm going to stay a couple of extra days to take in the scenery.

Wendy and Andy

Saturday I was in Northampton photographing the wedding of Wendy and Andy. The wedding ceremony was in a beautiful church, which was a 5 minute walk from their stunning home. Their home is the old chapel which belonged to Finedon Hall. They converted the chapel to what it is today, which is definitely one of the nicest character homes I have ever seen. Andy and Wendy are such a great couple, Emma and I wish you all the best.

I love creating the wedding day show. It just shows how beautiful the day was and how much fun everybody had. It's a Crash Taylor summary of a special day in the lives of my clients. The next step now is designing the beautiful stunning Queensberry album. Check out the other wedding shows located to your right. Time to start editing the wedding from Saturday, stay tuned for photos and another wedding show.

Image of the day

Lovin' life at the moment, have a wedding tomorrow in Derbyshire and another Saturday in Northampton. I have to say I absolutely love my profession. It's so hard to describe how much I enjoy wedding photography and photography in general. It's my passion and I'm so fortunate to be doing it full time. I just got two telephone bookings today for 2009 and the weddings sound amazing. Anyway, time to pack up all the equipment for tomorrow and get some sleep. Stay tuned next week for the photos and slide shows.

I just want to thank all the folks who read my blog and leave comments. As of today my blog has been live for 12 months and I've had over 13100 hits.

Also a big thank you to my super cool assistant Emma who does whatever it takes to get the job done. One day she is going to be an awesome wedding photographer.

Jemma and James

Yesterday I photographed Jemma and James at Wollaton Hall. We had a great shoot and beautiful weather considering it was raining all morning. Looking forward to the wedding in September. Click on the collage photos below to make bigger.

(AG)WPJA First Quarter Results for 2008

Today has been a great day. I booked 3 weddings for 2009 and just found out I won 3rd place in the prestigious (AG)WPJA photographic competition for first quarter 2008. The category was wedding off-camera lighting. The standard of work submitted to this competition is superb. Winning 1st, 2nd or 3rd place means I've been awarded some nice prizes along with a trophy for the cabinet. I was also informed by the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP) that I'd won a Gold award for a beauty image I shot a few months ago for a client and 3 silver awards for wedding images. All images were shot with my Canon 5D and professional Canon L lenses. Below are the two award winners. So today was a lovin' life day for me! So happy!

Kathryn and Ian

Yesterday I was at Wollaton Hall with Kathryn and Ian for their pre-wedding shoot. We got so lucky with the weather, it was raining all day and as soon as we got to Wollaton the blue sky appeared. I love when that happens. They are such a cool couple and I can't wait for the wedding.
